Old Students Of Comprehensive High School Alapere Reunite, Inaugurate Can

The Old students of Comprehensive High School Alapere formally called ‘Agidi’ on Thursday, 26th December, 2013 held a reunion event tagged “Limitless 2013” and also inaugurated Change Ambassadors Network (CAN) as part of the body’s initiatives to make a positive impact in their alma mata and the society.
The reunion event started at 12 noon at Micmary Hall with a red carpet reception for guests and alumni of the school. The special guest of honour for the day was the Chairman of Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area, Hon. Obafemi Durosimi who was ably represented by Hon. Ahmed Seriki, Supervisor for Education and information of the council.
“The event is to reunite, network and empower,” said Ruth Ogboji, an alumnus. 
The guest speakers for the event were Adenmolu Kitan who spoke on “Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur In The 21st Century”. Segun Kareem, a former member of Presidential Committee on Niger Delta Amnesty, spoke on “Having a Limitless Mindset as a Step to Changing the World” while the MD/CEO of Sound Mind Pre-varsity College, Kosofe, enlightened the audience on “Having a Limitless Mindset as a Tool to Becoming Successful.
The Old students also inaugurated the ‘Change Ambassadors Network’ (CAN). This network, according to the founding president Adeyemi Olalemi, is aimed at touching the lives of people in the society by impacting and creating opportunities to help them maximize their potentials, abilities and goals”.
Old CHSA Change Ambassadors Network as they are fondly called also launched the CAN Yearbook. 
Executives were sworn in for CAN and some distinguished members and partners were also awarded. Partners who were awarded include: Sebastine Nwaneri- A motivational speaker, for his passion and selfless effort towards raising leaders. Also awarded was Activate Your Potential (ACTYPO)- a youth empowerment organization, for her commitment in impacting and helping youths maximize their potentials.
Change Ambassadors Network members who were given the award of stewardship were Adekunle Marayesa, Tola Adebayo, Ruth Ogboji, Paul Isodhe and Yetunde Musari for their contribution and commitment towards the growth of CAN, an initiative of Old Students of Comprehensive High School, Alapere.
Also in attendance were two of their former teachers, Mr Lucas (Agricultural Science) and Mr Ajibade (Physics). Mr Lucas commended the efforts of the organizers as well as the Change Ambassadors Network initiative.
The event ended with an after party at the same Venue as many old faces reunited and were excited at the level of organization they witnessed at the event saying that it was the biggest and the best reunion that was ever had. The reunion holds annually on Boxing Day.
